About

I am a member of the VAA and AIAPI, two associations that promote the visual and plastic arts at a national and international level, encouraging collaboration and the visibility of artists.

Chiara De Zan, born in 1987 in Pordenone, Italy, is an emerging contemporary artist who lives and works in Casarsa della Delizia, in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Her artistic training is rooted in an academic program dedicated to graphic design and photography, culminating in her Diploma in 2006. Initially immersed in the world of drawing and painting, disciplines she embraced starting in 2009 through collaboration with a local art collective, De Zan has progressively expanded her expressive repertoire. Since 2020, she has passionately explored the boundaries of paper and digital collage, integrating photographic elements and geometric shapes into compositions that challenge traditional conventions.
In parallel to her artistic practice, Chiara De Zan's life is intertwined with professions that reflect a profound sensitivity to the natural and the holistic: she is an expert florist with extensive experience in agriculture, plant cultivation, and direct sales, as well as a constantly evolving holistic practitioner. This existential dimension enriches her vision, infusing her works with a sense of harmony between humanity and the environment. Thus emerges the profile of a versatile and curious artist, whose work has been featured in interviews, published catalogs, and exhibitions, demonstrating a constant commitment to innovation and engagement with the public. With a flexible and dynamic approach, De Zan continues to engage in intimate dialogue with the world around her, consolidating her place in the contemporary Italian art scene.
Artist Statement
Chiara De Zan conceives art as an act of resonance with nature and imagination, a bridge between the tangible and the abstract that invites the viewer to explore new emotional universes. Through a multidisciplinary practice ranging from painting to photography, from drawing to digital and paper collage, the artist fragments everyday and "poor" elements, drawing inspiration from the principles of Italian Arte Povera, to recompose them into emblematic geometric forms and sculptural photographs. Vivid colors emerge on dynamic structures, evoking fragility and vitality, like echoes of a constantly shifting interior landscape.
De Zan's creative process is rooted in a phase of deep contemplation, where ideas and concepts emerge as guides for tactile and free-form compositions, stimulating the imagination to transcend the confines of reality. "My art is dynamic and ever-evolving," she says, "always seeking new techniques to engage and inspire the viewer, infusing joy and beauty into the lives of those who contemplate it." In this dialogue between ancient and contemporary, between nature and abstraction, a gentle invitation to reflection emerges: art is not mere representation, but an act of shared creation, celebrating the intrinsic beauty of the world and the transformative power of human expression.
